# Sign up & access

> Create your account and sign in to Peak for the first time.

This page covers signing up for Peak after your email has been whitelisted. If you have not yet requested access, start with [Beta access](/docs/get-started/introduction/beta-access).

## Before you begin

You will need:

* A whitelisted email address (confirmed by the Peak team).
* A desktop browser.

## Sign up

    Go to [peak.birdeye.so](https://peak.birdeye.so) and click **Sign up**.

  <Step title="Enter your whitelisted email">
    Use the exact email address that was approved for the whitelist. A different address will fail validation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete the registration form">
    Provide the requested information and submit.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify your email">
    Open the verification message and confirm ownership of the address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Once verified, you are signed in and taken to the Peak terminal.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  The sign-up email must match your whitelisted address exactly. Aliases (such as `+peak`), different domains, or typos will fail validation.

## Signing in later

After your account is created, sign in at [peak.birdeye.so](https://peak.birdeye.so) using the same email address. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete authentication.

## Common issues

    The address you entered does not match a whitelisted email. Double-check the spelling and domain. If everything looks correct, contact [**peak@birdeye.so**](mailto:peak@birdeye.so).

    Check your spam and promotions folders. Try resending from the sign-up page. If the message still does not arrive, contact [**peak@birdeye.so**](mailto:peak@birdeye.so).

    Whitelisting is per email. To use a different address, request that the new address be whitelisted by emailing [**peak@birdeye.so**](mailto:peak@birdeye.so).
