The Protocol Object covers DeFi applications — DEXs, lending markets, launchpads, and other on-chain services. Protocols sit at the application layer of crypto, between the Networks they run on and the Wallets that use them.

What a Protocol represents

A Protocol Object is a specific DeFi application, such as Uniswap, Aave, or Raydium. Each Protocol has a type (Spot DEX, Perp DEX, Lending, or Launchpad), one or more Networks it deploys on, and typically a native token for governance or utility.

Protocol types

Every Protocol belongs to one of four types. The type determines which analytical Commands apply: all Protocols share the Protocol Info and User Analytics Commands, while each type also exposes its own type-specific Command Group.

Spot DEX

Spot decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap and Raydium. Adds the Spot DEX Commands for performance, trader analysis, and peer comparison.

Perp DEX

Perpetual futures venues such as Hyperliquid and dYdX. Adds the Perp DEX Commands for funding rates, open interest, and trader position analysis.

Lending

Lending and borrowing markets such as Aave and Compound. Adds the Lending Commands for market size, rates, liquidations, and collateral risk.

Launchpad

Token launch platforms such as Pump.fun. Adds the Launchpad Commands for launch activity, graduation, revenue, and creator analysis.

Commands by protocol type

See the Protocol Commands reference for the full detail of each Command.
