A short guide to what you’re paying for and how it works.

What you’re paying for

Every workspace has one subscription: one plan, one bill, one payment method. If you belong to several workspaces, each is billed on its own. Peak is billed per seat, not per person. You buy a number of seats and invite people to fill them. A seat is billed whether or not someone is in it — which also means you can add someone to an empty seat at any time without a new charge. The Owner handles the plan, the seats and the card. Admins invite and remove people. Members just use Peak.

Plans

Trial is one seat for one month at a flat fee. It doesn’t renew, and each account can use it once. Full Membership is the standard plan — everything included, priced per seat, and annual billing is discounted. Startup and Institutional are arranged with sales. To move up, use Upgrade plan in Settings → Plans & Billing. Institutional is always through sales.

Seats

Your seat usage shows in Settings → Plans & Billing as occupied / paid. 15 / 20 means 15 seats are in use and 20 are paid for, leaving 5 to fill. A pending invite holds a seat until it’s accepted or expires after 7 days. Adding seats. The Owner can add seats any time. They’re charged immediately, pro-rated for whatever’s left of the period, then billed in full from the next renewal. Removing seats. Seats can’t be removed partway through a period — they’re paid for and yours until it ends. What you can change is how many renew, using the Renewal plan setting: This never removes anyone and never affects the current period. It’s locked for the 7 days before a renewal.

Billing

Prices exclude tax; tax is calculated from your billing country and shown before you confirm. Every charge produces an invoice and a receipt email, and invoices can be downloaded any time from Settings → Plans & Billing. The card and billing details live in Settings → Payment Method, and only the Owner can change them. Bank transfer and invoice payment are available through sales.

If a payment fails

While it’s locked, the Owner sees the amount and a Pay button. Everyone else sees a notice with the Owner’s name to contact. Nobody loses their membership.

Cancelling

The Owner can cancel from Plans & Billing. You keep full access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, there’s no refund for the unused part, and you can undo it any time before then. If a renewal payment is outstanding, settle it first — cancelling isn’t available until then. When the period ends, the subscription is over and the workspace is locked. Nothing is owed, so there’s no invoice to pay:
  • Everyone except the Owner loses access. The seats ended with the subscription.
  • Nothing is deleted. The workspace and everyone’s data are kept for 12 months.
  • The Owner keeps the workspace and is the only person in it.
To restore it, the Owner selects Choose a plan, picks a plan and a seat count, and pays. The workspace unlocks immediately with all data intact, and the team can be invited back — invite people to the same account they used before and their work returns exactly as they left it. A restored workspace is a fresh purchase at full price, with a seat count of your choosing. The Trial isn’t available again if your account has already used it. After 12 months locked, the workspace and everything in it are permanently deleted.

AI credits, in one paragraph

Each seat includes a fixed monthly allowance of AI credits, set by your plan and shown in Settings → Usage. It’s the most one person can use in a month, it resets on the 1st, and unused credits don’t carry over. Credits can’t be bought separately — the way to get more is to add seats.
